<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding device which disuses the color code information and decodes the code data encoded to reduce more the code value when it is decided that the image data included in a block concern the monochromatic images that substantially include no color information. SOLUTION: A code expansion means 1204 decides whether or not a code is decided as a monochromatic block after identifying the least significant bit of the gradation width exponent of code data. Then the means 1204 divides the code into the codes of R, G and B signals respectively when a monochromatic block is identified and otherwise expands the code of one of R, G and B signals in the code processing order. Then a decoding means decodes the code data into the RGB density data.</p> |
