PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to generate various singing voices without imparting unnaturalness by reading out voice waveform data and revising them based on a specified pitch. SOLUTION: A key board 12 specifies the reproducing pitch of voice waveform data stored in a waveform memory 10 by a pitch shown by a depressed key. A control part 14 reads out the voice waveform data from the waveform memory 10 according to the key depression of the key board 12 to supply them to a pitch shifter 16, and supplies the pitch variable amount of the voice weveform data to the pitch shifter 16. Then, the pitch shifter 16 varies and outputs the pitch of the voice waveform data supplied from the control part 14 by the pitch variable amount supplied from the control part 14. In such a case, the pitch shifter 16 varies the pitch while keeping the time reproducing a voice waveform to a fixed level. In such a manner, the voice waveform data are pitch varied by the pitch shifter 16, and emitted to space as an audible voice through a sound system 18. |
