PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, inexpensive and highly reliable recording and/or reproducing device capable of recording and/or reproducing information signal in the plural kinds of disk like optical recording media having different kinds of constitution of recording layers such as CD, CD-R or DVD. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a driving/supporting mechanism 13 for supporting plural kinds of mounted disk like optical recording media, having different kinds of constitution of recording layers and rotary driving them, and plural pickup devices 3, 4, supported by mutually independent guide mechanisms 15, 30, moving the disk like optical recording media in the radial direction on the different position, respectively, and having laser beam souces outputting laser beams having different wavelengths. The pickup devices 3, 4 are arranged by mutually imparting an angular difference from a symmetric position on which the respective guide mechanisms 15, 30 interpose the driving/ supporting mechanism 13. The laser beams are two kinds whose wavelengths are <=680nm and 770nm. |
