PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera equipment which receives externally a standard video signal such as analog video and audio signal, applies data compression processing to the signal and records the compressed signal. SOLUTION: Changeover switches 104, 111 selected in the camera image pickup mode or the line input mode are provided in addition to a digital recording/reproducing video camera equipment, and in the case of the camera image pickup mode, the switches 104, 111 are thrown to the position of a terminal (a) and in the case of the line input mode, the switches 104, 111 are thrown to the position of a terminal (b). The output signal from a charge coupled device(CCD) 102 is given to a digital signal processing circuit 107 via an amplifier 103, a switch 104 and an A/D converter 105 to conduct generating processing of chrominance/luminance signals. A data compression/expansion circuit 106 eliminates a redundant part from the generated chrominance/ luminance signal and the result is recorded in a hard disk drive(HDD) 108. In the line input video recording mode, a line input signal is fed to the signal processing circuit 107 via the switch 104 and the A/D converter 105 to generate the chrominance/ luminance signal. The data compression/expansion circuit 106 eliminates a redundant part from the generated chrominance/luminance signal and the result is recorded in the hard disk drive(HDD) 108. |
