PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management method for CATV lines by which the usage state of a tap-off is easily confirmed by grasping the usage state of the tap-off with a signal from a tap connection confirmation device. SOLUTION: Plural tap-offs 5 are connected to optional positions of a CATV distribution cable 12 connecting to a transmitterreceiver 3 in a center 2, a tap connection confirmation device 6 having an address specific to a switch corresponding to a terminal 5a of each tap-off 5 and the tap connection confirmation device itself is connected to the cable 12 in the vicinity of each tapoff 5 so that the tap connection confirmation device 6 sends a signal in response to the address of the tap connection confirmation device 6 itself and to the usage state of the terminal 5a of the tap-off 5 to the transmitter-receiver 3 of the center 2. The center 2 uses a computer to grasp the idle state of the terminal of each tap-off 5 with the signal denoting the address of the tap connection confirmation device 6 and the usage state of the terminal 5a. |
