The advertising method allows the acoustic advertising messages to be provided using an on-board computer. This normally uses a stored route network for providing a passenger information announcement at each passenger stop. The advertising messages are provided at imaginary stopping points along the route, with a radio clock used for the selection between the alternate advertising messages, or with a random selection of the advertising messages.
