PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera where proper contour emphasis is made even in stroboscopic photographing and a black line, etc., is permitted to be extremely inconspicuous. SOLUTION: Aperture gain data in normal photographing and aperture gain data in stroboscopic photographing are stored in E<2> ROM 12. Aperture gain in stroboscopic photographing is a value smaller than that of aperture gain in normal photographing. In stroboscopic photographing, CPU 11 reads aperture gain in stroboscopic photographing and amplifies a contour-emphasized image. Therefore, the contour is not extremely emphasized even in stroboscopic photographing and the deterioration of the image is prevented. |
