Opener and remover for packaging sheet material

The cylindrically wrapped pack is fed to an opening position, where two angled rollers (3) grip the wrapping and pinch it into a seam, by stretching. Angled cutters slit the wrapping, and a remote handling system removes the wrapping to provide access to the contents. The grip action of the rollers is helped by suction grips in front of the grip zone. The cutters are attached to the rollers, and the cut material is removed by one handling system, and the main part of the wrap by another system.
