The axle assembly (5,6) of the vehicle has a rotary movable bogie (5) which moves relative to the structure only about a swivel axis (4) for the leaning movements. The input of the gearing on the axle assembly side and the output of the gearing on the superstructure side are coupled together rotationally. The coupling is secured through a joint (11) as parts (10,12) are rotatable about axes radial to the swivel axis whereby the centre of the joint falls in the swivel axis. This input and output form an assembly like an articulated shaft.
