The device has a threaded strain relief arrangement with one or more bolts (1) which are fixed in position to operate the device, a movably mounted lower strain relief strap (2) and an upper strain relief strap (3). The movable strap is moved towards the upper strap to clamp one or more cables (5) of equal cross-section. The upper strap is a part of the housing. It is mounted on a bolt on one side and can pivot about a rotation point.
