Described are the use of compounds of formula (1), as active principals for trea ting skin conditions; compositions containing these compounds; and methods of treating skin conditions using these compounds and com positions, wherein R4 is (CR5R6-CR7R8-X1)n-CR9R10-C(=X2)X3R11, n is an integer from 1 to 18; R1, R2, R3, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10 a nd R11, are independently, hydrogen or non-hydrogen substituents; and X, X1, X2, X3, Y and Z are independently O, NH or S.
