The power splitter has an input waveguide (1) and several output waveguides (2a,2b), with at least the outermost output waveguides angling away from one another. A power divider (3) with the same refractive index as the waveguide outer mantle has a region (5) positioned upstream of the intersecting inner edges (9,10) of the outermost output waveguides. The output waveguides and the power divider can be arranged symmetrical to the axis of the input waveguide, with an angle of between 2 and 5 degrees between the outermost output waveguides and the input waveguide.
