A process for providing a bleached look in the colour density of the surface of dyed fabric, the process comprising contacting, in an aqueous medium, a dyed fabric with a hybrid enzyme comprising a phenol oxidizing enzyme fused to an amino acid sequence having a cellulose-binding domain, and a hydrogen peroxide source when the phenol oxidizing enzyme is a peroxidase.
