The switch has a housing with two input connections (3,4) for connection to a voltage source, two output connections (5,6) for connection to the electrical tool, a press button actuator (7) and at least one contact system (10) with a fixed contact (12) connected to the first input and contact rocker (14) with two lever arms and a rotary bearing (19). The first arm is spring biased towards the fixed contact. The actuator acts on the second arm so that the first arm contacts the fixed contact. The second input connection has a connecting part (17) to the second output connection. A current rail (18) in the housing transverse to the actuator motion starts between the input connections and ends near the first output connection and has a connection via a switchable contact system (11) to the first output connection.
