PROCESS FOR PRODUCING INDIVIDUAL BARS FOR INDIVIDUAL BAR COMMUTATORS

A cost-effective process is disclosed for producing individual bars (4) for individual bar commutators by cutting them out of a strip (1) of electroconductive material. A bar element with a contact section (6) and an anchoring section (5) joined together by a joining section (10) is cut out of the strip (1) of electroconductive material. The contact section (6) projects on one side of the anchoring section (5) over a certain length (8) beyond the anchoring section. This extra length (8) is then shaped into a terminal lug (7) by bending and/or upsetting.
