The invention relates to a process for setting a driving torque in a motor vehicle, in particular torque setting within the scope of traction control. At least two controllable actuators are provided to control the driving torque, said actuators having different dynamic behaviour in relation to the setting of a driving torque. The invention consists in that a portion of the driving torque to be set is determined and used to control the actuator with a lower level of dynamics. The change caused by said control of the actuator with a lower level of dynamics is evaluated. The difference between the driving torque to be set and the evaluated driving torque is subsequently used to control at least one actuator with a higher level of dynamics.
