Regeneration of solution used to make hydrogen peroxide from anthraquinone

The following regeneration processes are claimed of a working solution for repeated reduction and oxidation for the production of hydrogen peroxide. (1) A working solution which contains alkylanthraquinones (AAQ) and alkyltetrahydroanthraquinones (ATHAQ) is treated by contacting at least part of the non-reduced solution at 40-150 deg C with a catalyst comprising mainly a psi -alumina. (2) A working solution which contains at least ATHAQ as the anthraquinone is converted to alkyltetrahydro-hydroxyanthrone (I) by contact with the above catalyst at 20-150 deg C under conditions such that the concentration h (mol/l) of the ATHAQ in the solution prior to the catalytic treatment is given by (0.0018 /* t - 0.0285) /* h <= 0.05. t = treatment temperature in deg C.
