The accessory (19) which fits onto the long end of the pallet has a holder (22) which engages round the crossbar (14,15) to hold the accessory against the cross bar in the useful position. The accessory is divided into a support part (21) protruding in the useful position from the crossbar in the longitudinal direction of the pallet and on which the holder is mounted and into a security wall (20) which is separate from the support part. The security wall is fixable detachably on the support part displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the pallet. The holder engages over the top side of the cross bar in the useful position.
