Sealing unit for cable wall penetrations

An arrangement for sealing a penetration opening in a wall(1), through which cables or cable bundles (9) pass, comprises a foam member (15). The foam member is strip and/or band shaped, and is wound around the bundle to form one or more layers. The edge contour of the opening is in contact with the foam. The foam member preferably has a polyurethane, PVC or EPDM basis.
