The air conditioning has a compressor for the liquid or gaseous coolant, a condenser and an evaporator with a coated surface that can either only be partially wetted or not wetted at all, and upon which the condensation takes place. The water on the surface of the lamellae through which the air flows has a wetting angle of at least 90 degrees. These lamellas are coated with a lacquer with a surface tension that is higher than that of water. The lacquer contains wax or is like wax. The fan has a delivery volume of at least ten cubic metres an hour but preferably fifty cubic metres an hour.
