The adaptor is held in place by a threaded clamping disc (38) joined to the main body of a wheel support (37) by an axial tensioning screw (40) arranged in the slot area (36) clear of an axial web piece linking disc to body. The nut thread is orientated so that this is turned tight the opposite way to the line of the wheel, with nut and pin threaded left hand on the right hand side of the vehicle and vice versa. The nut is corrugated at the periphery to prevent the forcible application of a conventional tool wrench.
