Coupling element for corrugated tube

The coupling element consists of a tubular housing (5) and an axially movable ring (7) with elastic tongues (17). The ring is located on the outside of the housing. The tongues project radially through apertures (15) in the housing to act with the corrugated tube (3). Each tongue has a radially inward facing angled surface (21). Axial movement of the ring moves the surface to engage on a shoulder (23) of the housing. This applies a radially outward directed force to the tongues, to move the contact nose (19) of a tongue out of a pipe corrugation, to release the pipe.
