Leakage tester for checking air resistance of inspected target e.g. fuel supply apparatus of internal combustion engine

The leakage tester applies a fluid pressure to the internal clearance of a target (1) being inspected e.g. fuel supply apparatus and checks the airtight property of the inspected target. The inspected target and a reference object (2) has nearly identical internal volume. A fluid pressure source (3) supplies fluid whose pressure is nearly identical to the inspected target and reference object. A differential pressure testing unit (4) measures the pressure differential of the fluid pressure supplied to the inspected target and reference object. A flowmeter (5) measures the amount of fluid leakage inside the inspected target. Based on the difference between the measurement result of the testing unit and flowmeter, existence of leakage to the external of the inspected target is detected.
