ARRANGEMENT OF COUPLER BAYS IN SEALED MEDIUM VOLTAGE SWITCHING SYSTEMS

The invention concerns an arrangement of coupler bays in sealed medium voltage switching systems with gas-filled containers, in which vacuum switching tubes are provided as power switches and isolator contacts are provided in the form of three-position switches. The three-position switches (DSS) are arranged with their isolator contacts (TRK) in the gas-filled container on the longitudinal axis side and extend at right angles to the front face of the container, next to one another and above the vacuum switching tubes (VLS); the latter are fitted in such a way that their longitudinal axes also extend at right angles to the front face of the container. Coupler bays of this type are used in gas-insulated power switching systems.
