PURPOSE:To allow the title system to correspond also to the acceleration or capacity increment of information by multiplexing wavelengths having routing information and executing switching by self-routing on the basis of the multiplexed wavelength. CONSTITUTION:A wavelength multiplex part 1-I (I=1 to N) multiplexes an input optical signal with a required wavelength having input information into wavelength having routing information in a communication line. Then, a switch part 2-I in a self routing switch S executes switching based upon self-routing and outputs the input information to a required output terminal. At the time of generating collision in information obtained from respective input terminals, the input information is temporarily stored in a buffer part 3-I to evade the collision of respective information. Consequently, the system can be allowed to sufficiently correspond to the acceleration or capacity increment of information. |
