PURPOSE:To compactly contain the excess length, and also, to miniaturize a reel by containing an excess length part of a connector of an optical cable into an excess length containing housing in a shape of a loop and attaching the containing housing to a prescribed part of the reel so as to be freely attachable and detachable. CONSTITUTION:An excess length containing housing 20 for containing a fiber excess length part of a connector of an optical cable 16 in a shape of a loop is provided. The containing housing 20 consists of a housing body 20A and a cover body 20B, and the cover body 20B is fixed airtightly and watertightly to the body 20A with a screw 24 through an O ring 22. Also, an excess length containing housing fitting part 52 is provided on a terminal part containing space 48 of a reel 18. By this constitution, the excess length containing housing 20 is engaged into a recessed part of the fitting part 52 and fixed by holding a handle 32 of a terminal part 22 of the optical cable 16. Accordingly, a cable terminal is contained compactly, and also, the whole reel can be miniaturized. |
