The writing implement (1) has an ink reservoir (8), an ink transfer element (3) with a writing tip (3b). A plug (4) is situated between the reservoir and the tip to store excess ink from the transfer element and return it as necessary, according to the variations in pressure in the reservoir. The plug is made from a compact block of material with open pores, based on micro-balls, with different or equal proportions of micro-balls which are hydrophobic and hydrophilic with regard to the ink used in the implement. The plug can be in the form of a number of coaxial annular elements, with a greater proportion of hydrophilic micro-balls in the element closest to the ink transfer element, and more hydrophobic micro-balls in the elements furthest from it. The micro-balls are made, for example, from different forms of polypropylene. |
