A process for setting a roof bolt by using a self-drilling anchor is characterised in that the drilling anchor bar is coupled by an adapter to a drilling mechanism. A rinsing medium, for example water or air, or a setting medium, for example a mortar suspension, may be selectively guided through the adapter. The coupling between adapter, drilling mechanism and drilling anchor bar is maintained from the beginning of the drilling phase until the drilling hole is completely filled with setting medium. If required, the mixture of rinsing medium and mortar suspension that flows through the central cavity (5) and coupling section (3) of base body (1) into the drilling anchor bar may be continuously adjusted by means of the pipe connection (11) of the adapter, which is fixed in relation to the base body (1'). The adapter allows the roof bolt setting process to be significantly simplified, since it dispenses with numerous mounting and dismounting processes that are otherwise required in the area of the drilling mechanism at the end of the drilling phase. |
