OUTSIDE WAIST MOLDING FOR AUTOMOBILE DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit an outside waist molding to a clamping flange agreeably without using a separate clip. SOLUTION: An outside waist molding includes a thick clamping base 24, a molding part 26 extending from the top of the clamping base 24 to outside of a vehicle and a seal support part 28 extending in parallel with a reinforce 13 from the top of the clamping base 24. A flange 14 is press fit in a groove 34 formed in the clamping base 24 and also a fitting projection 40 formed projected in an inner surface of the seal support part 28 is fit in a fitting hole 15 formed in the reinforce 13 to maintain attitude of the waist molding properly when the waist molding 20 is inserted in the clamping flange 14 with which an outer panel 11 and the reinforce 13 are bonded.
