PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a blow-up of an engine caused by a failure of a solenoid valve or occurrence of a locked state of a vehicle in a hydraulic control device for a complex clutch for an automatic transmission. SOLUTION: A shift valve for changing over a supplying and a shutting-off of operating oil for a hydraulic actuater for use in changing-over a shifting position is provided with a spool valve element and a clutch hydraulic oil supplying port. Even in the case that a solenoid valve for controlling the shift valve is failed, clutch hydraulic oil is supplied from the clutch hydraulic supplying port so as to hold a changing-over position of the spool valve element and to keep a present shifting position.
