PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping apparatus capable of facilitating a stamper replacing operation. SOLUTION: A fixed die plate 3 is provided movably to an injection side at the time of replacing a stamper 19. A fixed mold 2 mounted with the stamper 19 is held at the plate 3 via a mold turning mechanism 20 rotatable in the horizontal direction at the time of replacing the stamper 19. The plate 3 is moved to the injection side to ensure the turning space. The mold 2 is turned to the opposed position of an operator by the mechanism 20.
