PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent formability in an Al-Mg alloy without sacrificing its strength. SOLUTION: This Al-Mg alloy having high strength and excellent in formability is the one having a compsn. contg., by weight, 1.5 to 8% Mg, furthermore contg. at least one kind of element among 0.1 to 0.5% Mn, 0.05 to 0.2% Cr and 0.05 to 0.2% Zr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and in which, as the lower structure, shells having 0.1 to 2μm diameter by polygonization are formed.
