REFRIGERANT FOR EQUIPMENT UTILIZING COLD HEAT OF LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerant, having a saturated vapor pressure as low as below 24.5kg/cm<2> at 40 deg.C maximum service temperature and a positive saturated vapor pressure at -50 deg.C service temperature in equipment utilizing the cold heat of a liquefied natural gas (abbreviated to LNG) such as equipment for liquefying carbonic acid and a refrigerated warehouse. SOLUTION: This refrigerant for equipment utilizing the cold heat of LNG comprises <=69wt.% HFC-134a and >=31wt.% HFC-23. The solidifying temperature of the refrigerant is below -160 deg.C which is the temperature of the LNG.
