PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicide composition capable of reducing even the phytotoxicity to transplanted paddy rice plant under a shallow planting condition by using quinoclamine effective for the control of algae, floating weeds, etc., in combination with a herbicide selected from 7 specific kinds of herbicides for paddy rice plant. SOLUTION: The compound of formula I is used together wit at least one kind of compound selected from the compounds of formula II, formula III, formula IV and formula V, imazosulfuron, azimsulfuron and cinosulfuron. The total amount of the latter compound group is preferably about 0.0001-10 pts.wt., especially about 0.001-0.5 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the compound of formula I for producing a composition exhibiting excellent effect. The application rate of the composition is preferably 10-g to 10kg/ha for the compound of formula I and about 0.1g to 1-kg/ha for the latter compound group, especially 0.1-3kg/ha for the compound of formula I and about 1-300g/ha for the compound of formula II. |
