PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amorphous refractory material preventing generation of crack and peeling and exhibiting stable durability by using a refractory aggregate material having specific mixing amounts of calcined agalmatolite, silicon carbide and alumina and/or siliceous alumina. SOLUTION: This amorphous refractory material for lining in a cupola- furnace uses 100wt.% of a mixture containing 5-60wt.% of calcined agalmatolite, 5-40wt.% of silicon carbide and 10-90wt.% of alumina and/or alumina-siliceous raw material as a refractory aggregate material. The refractory material prevents cracking made by imparting of permanent expansibility caused from making quartz to cristobalite, eliminates an evil influence made by transformation from α-shape to β-shape of quartz by using the calcined agalmatolite and exhibits excellent effect in corrosion resistance and peeling resistance even in mixing silicon carbide. The amorphous refractory material using the calcined agalmatolite does not exhibit expansion according to transformation of quartz at near 600 deg.C, although the permanent expansibility is imparted by making to cristobalite at near 1,250 deg.C. |
