PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain faithful color reproducibility to original images, superior coloring efficiency with low heat energy and high fastness of obtained images, by letting a thermal transfer layer on a base sheet contain at least two kinds of specific mixtures. SOLUTION: A thermal transfer layer 3 is provided on a base sheet 2. The thermal transfer layer 3 contain a dye which is transferred by heat to a body to be transferred, in a binder resin. The dye contained in the thermal transfer layer 3 is at least a mixture of C.I. solvent blue 36 and disperse blue 24. Not only when a single cyan thermal transfer sheet 1 is used, but when a combination of yellow and magenta thermal transfer sheets 1 is used to form a full-color image, light and deep colors proportional to an applied heat energy can be generated, with superior color reproducibility. Moreover, when a full-color image is to be formed, colors can be reproduced in a wide range with a middle color most superiorly reproduced. |
