PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a power slide device for the sliding door of an automobile by building a power transmission mechanism with a clutch mechanism engaging/disengaging by rotation of a motor in the inner space of a wire drum. SOLUTION: When a rotary plate 26 is clockwise rotated by a motor, swing arms 28, 29 connected to it through pins 30, 31 are also rotated, the engaging pin 34 of the swing arm 29 remains in a circular arc slot 38 formed in a guide plate 32, but the engaging pin 33 of the swing arm 28 moves from a circular arc slot 37 to a push out slot 39, the clutch pawl 47 on the extreme end part of the swing arm 28 is engaged with the engaging projecting part 42 on the inner face of a wire drum 10, and hence rotation of the rotary plate 26 is transmitted to the wire drum 10. When the motor is stopped, the motor is once rotated reversely for a fixed time so as to disengage the clutch. Consequently, the power transmission mechanism with the clutch mechanism transmitting power of the motor to the wire drum 10 can be received in the inner space part 22 of the wire drum 10, so as to miniaturize the whole device. |
