PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staircase which can surely eliminate gaps and reduce the number of constructing processes. SOLUTION: Treads 14 are constructed horizontally between walls 12, and when risers 16 are constructed perpendicular to the treads 14, gaps form among the treads 14, the risers 16, and the walls 12. When dividing members 20, 22, 24 made from a synthetic resin and each having spring pieces 32, 52 are inserted into the gaps, the spring pieces activate the treads 14 and the risers 16 in the opposite direction to the wall 12 to lock the dividing members into place. The dividing pieces 36, 44, 54a, 54b of the dividing members 20, 22, 24 are enclosed to block the gaps among the treads 14, the risers 16, and the walls 12. Therefore, even if the gaps are varied with the construction tolerance of the interval between the walls 12, plate-shaped dividing members need not be installed after re-machining as in conventional cases, with the result that the number of constructing processes can be reduced. |
