PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cure shrinkage of a lining material for pipe interior coating by compounding an unsatd. polyester resin, an unsatd. polymerizable monomer, a peroxide initiator, a (meth)acryloylated styrene macromonomer, and specific flat particles. SOLUTION: Component A is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. unsatd. polyester resin having a number average mol.wt. of about 1,000-50,000, a hydroxyl value of 5-100mgKOH/g, an acid value of 5-30mgKOH/g, and an unsaturation equivalent of 100-1,000 with 5-200 pts.wt. unsatd. polymerizable monomer (e.g. acrylic acid or styrene), 1-40 pts.wt. (meth)acryloylated styrene macromonomer having a number average mol.wt. of about 1,000-10,000, 10-500 pts.wt. flat particles having a length of 80μm or lower (e.g. silica or talc), about 0.5-10 pts.wt. cure catalyst, and a solvent. Component B is prepd. by the same formulation except that it does not contain the catalyst and contains 0.1-20 pts.wt. peroxide initiator. A lining material for pipe interior coating is obtd. by mixing components A and B just before being used.
