High-capacity stacking car park

The parking structure has two or more floors (2, 3) and can be extended at will. A car is driven onto a pallet (7) at the entrance (6). It is then vacated. The pallet is moved onto the cage (5) of the lift (4) and an empty pallet (8) removed from the lift and placed in the entrance. The laden pallet is raised to the appropriate floor, placed on a transporter carriage (9) and moved (10, 11) to a storage location (12). The empty pallet is retrieved by the cage before the laden one is inserted.
