PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shade off a peripheral edge in the polishing area of a work so as to prevent a clear line from occurring at the boundary part between polishing areas where grinding attitude is different. SOLUTION: When a work W is pressed so as to engage with a rotating endless polishing belt 18, the engaging input side straight part 18a and the engaging outlet side straight part 18b of the polishing belt 18 are oscillated in the right/left direction which is the cross direction of the belt, and is polished while oscillating in the vertical direction orthogonal to a belt polishing surface. |
