A planar sensor element (7) associated with a pressure element (9) is connected to a gearbox selector shaft or shift rail (5) and follows the movement thereof. The sensor element (7) comprises a conductor network (19) with a plurality of mutually parallel conductor portions (23), which are connected to one another by equally great electric resistances of a resistance path (27), and a contacting medium (21). The contacting medium (21) and the conductor network (19) rest together on a resistance coating (31) of a foil portion (15, 17) or the like. The resistance coating (31) consists of a plastics resistance material of which the specific electrical resistance changes as a function of pressure. A carrier of the conductor network (19), the contacting medium (21) and the resistance coating (31) collectively together form a tight sheath. |
