The present invention relates to a drive mechanism (101) intended in the first instance for linear conveyors, for example lifting devices, position displacement or other actuating devices, consisting of a transmission element (103), which is so arranged as to run around deflectors (104, 107). The transmission element (103), in the form of an endless loop, runs between two end deflector arrangements (104, 107) situated at a mutual distance from one another at either end of a linear movement device and interacts with an intermediate drive component (113) acting between the aforementioned end deflection arrangements and moving relative to them, which intermediate drive component exhibits two drive elements consisting of toothed wheels or chain wheels (40, 41) with different numbers of teeth. Gearing is achieved in this way through the difference in the speed at which the transmission element (103) is fed out to either side of the intermediate drive component (113). In accordance with the invention, the gearing mechanism consists of only one pair of rigidly connected chain wheels/toothed wheels with different numbers of teeth (40, 41), or of a cable wheel with two winding-up drums which exhibit different diameters, around which the transmission element is wound in the opposite direction. |
