In accordance with the present invention a method and a device are provided for continuously producing and distributing snow and/or fine water droplets, using water and compressed air. The method comprises the measures of atomising the water into small water droplets and distributing said water droplets essentially in a narrow spreading pattern (12), which extends essentially in parallel with the vertical plane. The device comprises a nozzle member which is connected to a source of water and to a source of compressed air.
