ROLLER GUIDE WITH ROLLER ROTATION CONTROL DEVICE

FIELD: rolling. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to roller guides fitted with devices to check rotation of rollers, it can be used in section and wire-rod mills equipped with units of finishing stands. Proposed roller guide with device to check rotation of rollers has hollow body with inlet and outlet holes to let workpieces pass. Two bell-cranks with guiding rollers are hinged to body. Two rotation transducers fixed in common link mounted on body are installed in close vicinity of rollers. Rotation transducer is inductive coil with core made of ferromagnetic material. Pole shoe is placed on face of roller opposite to face of core. Rotation transducers are so mounted in common link that face of core is located at distance not exceeding diameter of core from face of corresponding roller while roller guide is prepared for operations. EFFECT: simplified design of device to check serviceability of roller guides which enhanced efficiency of their usage in section and wire-rod mills, provision for automatic check of rotation of rollers of roller guides enabling to test their serviceability in process of operation of mill (during passage of work-pieces through roller guide). 2 cl, 3 dwg
