The panel is faced with plaster and the longitudinal sides are machined to be parallel and obviate the use of a friable covering. The parallel edges of the panels can be formed to a chamfer. The panels can be covered with a plastics or fabric covering and the covering (7) can be glued onto the exterior face (1) of the panels edges by the chamfers (2) and following their form and finally glued on the edges of the rear faces of the panels. The panels can be juxtaposed without leaving a space between them. The panels can be fixed to a framework by gluing.
