The seat cover is stretched by a bar (1) with a straight longitudinal edge (2) and a longitudinal edge (3) which has feet (4) projecting from it. The free end of each foot (5) is joined to a plate (6) and these are hooked to the back of the cushion. A longitudinal beam (7) is rigidly fixed to the bar, between its two longitudinal edges. The straight edge is fixed to the cover and the plates cross openings in the cushion. The beam transmits the force exerted on the legs uniformly to the cover.
