The gas-turbine set (5) has a heat-exchanger (3) heating the operating gas (4), one or more turbines (6), a second exchanger (8) cooling the gas downstream of the turbine, and one or more compressors (9). The gas is caused to flow in a closed circuit. An external heat-source supplies the first exchanger. The external heat source contains a large number of similar large separate filler bodies (2) of material which are strong at high temperature and with good heat-conductivity. The heated bodies are contained in a heating system (1) separate from the turbine, and from which they are transported to the first exchanger. Where they are brought into direct contact with the operating gases, to transfer heat to the gases, and are cooled in the process, and then discharged from the exchanger. |
