The puzzle has a central axle (3) with bases (1,2) at each end that each has three rods (4) on its inner surface, parallel to the axle. A shorter tubular axle (5), round the central axle, has a plate (7,7') at each end. The ends of the plates have compartments (8), corresponding to the rods, and they are moved to receive the rods by moving the axle longitudinally. Two rings (9,9'), between the plates, have double compartments (10), open at one end. Balls (15) are held in some compartments and are transferred between them by rotating the plates and moving the axle.
