Positive head fuel reserve tank maintained on bottom of main tank

The reserve fuel tank (2) which is held on the bottom (1a) of the main fuel tank (1) has an opening (6) in its base (2a) communicating with the main tank. The reserve tank bottom is spaced from the bottom of the main tank by a few millimetres. The opening is sealed by a non-return valve (7). Fuel passages (P) decreasing in section in the direction of the opening are defined by ribs (9) extending between the two tank bottoms. These ribs extend radially from the reserve tank opening.
